Flanges & Fittings
Three-piece pipe unions that let a pipe section be disconnected and reconnected without turning the pipe, for maintenance and modifications.
Grade, size, pressure class and certification requirements are confirmed at enquiry. Mill test certificates are supplied with the material where applicable.
A union is a three-part fitting: two tail pieces fixed to the pipe ends and a large nut that draws them together. Loosening the nut separates the line without rotating either pipe, which is why unions are placed next to pumps, valves, meters, filters and equipment that will need to be removed. In threaded systems they are the only practical way to dismantle a run once both ends are fixed.
Al Safsaaf supplies pipe unions sourced from Nippon Steel and GCC approved suppliers, for plumbing, industrial piping and HVAC systems.
Specify the nominal size, material and grade, end connection (threaded with thread form, or socket weld), pressure class and seat type (flat, conical or with an O-ring seal). Unions should be placed where the nut is accessible with a wrench and oriented so the removable equipment can be withdrawn. Dielectric unions are a separate item where dissimilar metals meet.
